How to Make Money Online - Take Advantage of All the Stages of a Product Launch
By Tellman Knudson

Product launches are a way for you to generate a huge spike of targeted traffic to your website...and generate a lot of cash. When you are learning how to make money online you want to make the most of your efforts. To do that, be sure to take advantage of the various stages of a product launch.

Pre-Launch

The pre-launch can be as short as one week, but typically you should allow two to four weeks to really generate the buzz you want for a successful launch.

Get some content out to start the buzz...put up videos on YouTube...give out a free report. These methods get partners to drive people to your squeeze page...they have embedded your video on their blog, sent out an email or just Tweeted about it. So now you are building your list.

Use pre-launch traffic by sending the viewers to a blog that gives them more information and/or asks them to comment on the blog or the video. When people comment on your blog a conversation is started...one that is interactive...the search engines love that...now your blog is going to be generating more traffic too.

The Launch

A lot of people concentrate their launch on one big day. Certainly that is successful for a lot of people, but I suggest you go ahead and do your launch over a week. That way you have a little time...you can turn up the heat throughout the week.

One of the strategies I've seen over and over that works is to let people know something bad will happen-they will miss out-if they don't act during the launch week. It might be that they can only get the product that week, or maybe the price will go up, or maybe the bonuses disappear. You are training the buyers that they want to buy now or they will lose out.

This is great for this launch, and it is awesome for your future launches because people realize they had better act or else. Of course, for this strategy to work you have to stick with whatever you say! Otherwise you train them to not believe you when you give them consequences!

Post-Launch

This is where a lot of marketers miss the boat...they do a great job on the pre-launch and launch but then their traffic just dries up. To keep that traffic active you have got to plan some post-launch activity.

This really just boils down to follow-up and continued promotion. If you said your product would only be available at a certain price during launch week then you can later promote, "Hey you missed on the best deal...but it is still an incredible value at $xyz, hear what people who bought during the launch are saying about this fantastic new product!"

By following up you can actually make MORE money than you generated during the launch itself, so the post-launch is a critical step in your overall success with product launches.

The tip on how to make money online with product launches is to use every stage! Your pre-launch will build your buzz and start your traffic, the launch will give you the big spike and the post-launch will allow for long-term grown and overall success! Use all three stages and you will maximize your product launch process, build a bigger list and make more money.
